Six straight goals help Predators rally past Blues, 6-3

In Nashville Tuesday, the Predators continued a trend form the night with a six-goal barrage of their own in a 6-3 win over the St Louis Blues.

Trailing 3-0 in the game, the Preds responded with two goals in the middle frame to cut the deficit to 3-2.

In the third period they added four more for the win.

“That was the Predators,” forward Filip Forsberg said. “I mean, that’s how we want to play. That’s how we’ve been playing for the last few years since I got here. I’ve seen this team do so many good things like that, and obviously that’s something that we’ll build on for sure.”

Kevin Shattenkirk, Ryan Reaves and Brad Hunt scored for the Blues to build the 3-0 lead.

James Neal and Forsberg  scored in the second to close the gap.

“The second goal hurt us, but I thought [Blues forward Kyle Brodziak] line really helped us recover,” St Louis head coach Ken Hitchcock said. “We had a 3-2 lead going into the third period, and it’s been three games like this that we’ve lost on the road where we’ve had the game taken from us in the third period.”

Ryan Johansen tied the game 3-3 early in the third.
