The Henderson Silver Knights defeated the Bakersfield Condors, 3-2, on Tuesday night at Lee’s Family Forum.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
A hard fought first period resulted in no goals for either team, but Viljami Marjala got the Condors on the board four minutes into the second off an assist from Atro Leppanen. The second ended with Bakersfield up 1-0.
Henderson’s Trevor Connelly sunk one in to begin the third, and Kai Uchacz put the Silver Knights ahead with the team’s second goal during a power play. Bakersfield’s Seth Griffith was able to tie it with 40 seconds left, sending the game into OT.
Raphael Lavoie scored the game winning goal in the waning seconds of overtime. He secured the victory for Henderson, 3-2, in their last regular season home game.
