Silver Knights defeat Barracuda, 9-6, set franchise record

HOW IT WENT DOWN

Just over a minute into the first period Raphael Lavoie found the back of the net for the Silver Knights. 19 seconds later Matyas Sapovaliv extended Henderson’s lead to 2-0 on just their second shot of the game. The Barracuda cut the Silver Knights lead in half with a power play goal from Kasper Halttunen.

An eventful second period included seven goals from six different players. Barracuda scorers included Luca Cagnoni, Filip Bystedt, and Colin White. Henderson’s goals came from Mitch Mclain, Trevor Connelly, and two from Raphael Lavoie. This was Lavoie’s second hat trick of the season.

Kai Uchacz extended the Silver Knights lead to 7-4 at the 1:30 mark of the third period. The Barracuda tallied two more goals from Colin White and Lucas Vanroboys to put them within one. Sapovaliv and Jakub Brabenec secured the win for Henderson when they each scored an empty-netter. The final score was 9-6, HSK. Nine goals is the most Henderson has scored in a single game in franchise history.
