The Silver Knights fell to the Ontario Reign, 4-3, in the shootout on Friday night at Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Jakub Brabenec scored the game’s opening goal off of a Mitch McLain pass to take a 1-0 lead, 12-minutes into the game. At the 6:20 mark of the second, Ontario’s Kenta Isogai tied the game at 1-1.
Nine minutes later, Martin Chromiak gave the Reign their first lead of the night. Just 30-seconds into the third period,
Matyas Sapovaliv scored his fifth power play goal in his last eight games to tie the game at 2-2. Andre Lee gave Ontario a 3-2 lead with seven-minutes left in the contest. With 30-seconds left in the game, while on the 6-on-5 advantage,
Raphael Lavoie tied the game, 3-3. Following a scoreless overtime period, Chromiak was the lone skater to score in the shootout giving the Reign a 4-3 win.
