WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced the team has re-signed forward Mike Posma to a contract for the 2026-27 season.

Posma, 24, returns for his second season with the Nailers. Last season, he finished second among Wheeling rookies with 13 goals, third among rookies on the club with 26 points and tied for second on the team overall with a +19 rating. Posma added four points (2g-2a) in 15 playoff games, including the game-tying goal in the Game 1 overtime triumph over Maine in the North Division Finals. Posma also played four games with the Florida Everblades at the end of the 2024-25 season.
Prior to turning pro, the Pomona, New York native played four seasons of college hockey at Boston College. Posma accumulated 36 points (15g-21a) in 142 games with the Eagles. Boston College won the Hockey East regular-season championship during his junior and senior years, and won the Hockey East Tournament Championship during his junior season.
