Glasgow Clan finished third at Playoff Finals Weekend with a 3-2 win over Manchester Storm.

The scoring was opened by Storm youngster Connor Lee, whose wrist shot from the hashmarks beat Liam Souliere over the blocker. “It was a long time coming and hopefully will open the floodgates,” said Lee post-game. Glasgow tied the game with 4:50 remaining in the first period, Mick Messner scoring from the high slot with a snapshot.
The opening fifteen minutes of the second period were scoreless, with Souliere and Weninger stopping multiple chances. Manchester retook the lead with 4:54 to play in the period, a snapshot from Harrison Caines beating Souliere under the glove. Hugo Roy equalised from a feed by Daniel Tedesco, snapping the puck into an open net. With 2:04 to play in the second, Glasgow took their first lead of the night as a Rylan Schwartz point shot was tipped home by Brady Risk.
Tyler de la Bertouche replaced Evan Weninger for the third period, shutting out the Clan while facing 14 shots. However, the Storm were unable to find an equaliser, and the game finished with Glasgow securing third place.
After the game, Hugo Roy said: “We wanted to rally and get this last win together as a group. Sometimes when it was a bit hard for us on the ice, they kept pushing us and believing in us. Getting to the Final Four, it was for them mostly.”
Connor Lee added: “To see where we got to at the end of this season, it’s been good to prove the haters wrong – that feels great.”
