Admirals ink trio of players

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced that forwards Kristóf Papp, Nick Capone and Matt Argentina have signed for the 2026-27 season.

Papp, 25, is set to enter his second full season of professional hockey in North America and with the Admirals. A native of Budapest, Hungary, Papp finished last season third on the team with 20 goals and tied with for fourth on the team with 46 points. Papp also represented Hungary at the 2026 IIHF World Championships for the fifth time, earning an assist in seven games and helping Hungary defeat Great Britain in the tournament.

Capone, 24, joins the Admirals for his third full season of professional hockey. A native of East Haven, Connecticut, Capone spent four years at the University of Connecticut, where he earned 42 points in 118 games. He was selected in the sixth round (157th overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Capone spent the previous two seasons with the Reading Royals, earning 16 points in 78 games.

Argentina, 23, is set to enter his first full season of professional hockey after beginning his career at the end of the 2025-26 season with the Iowa Heartlanders, where he scored one goal in five games. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native split his NCAA career with Northern Michigan University and Boston College following two seasons in the United States Hockey League with the Waterloo Black Hawks.
