Hurricanes send players to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Checkers received a host of players from their parent Hurricane affiliate.   These may be the lucky ones as the NHL went into lock out mode last night.  
 
Ryan Murphy has been assigned to Kitchener of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The Carolina Hurricanes in addition sent 28 players to Charlotte, they are forwards. Nicolas Blanchard, Zach Boychuk, Zac Delphi, A.J. Jenkins, Riley Nash, Victor Rask, Jerome Samson, Justin Shugg, Jeff Skinner, Jared Staal, Brett Sutter, Brody Sutter, Chris Terry, Tim Wallace and Jeremy Welsh. Defensemen Brett Bellemore, Justin Faulk, Marc-Andre Gragnani, Michal Jordan, Tommi Kivisto, Austin Levi, Rasmus Rissanen, Bobby Sanguinetti, Beau Schmitz and Joe Sova. Goaltenders John Muse and Justin Peters
 
These may be some of the few players actually taking to ht e ice season as the NHL officially locked out its players at midnight.
