Checkers swing into charity efforts for the season

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Checkers really work to put into the community to highlight this they are having 15 Days of Giving that is presented by Lowes. Throughout the 15-day program Checkers players and staff will contribute to 16 local non-profit organizations by volunteering time and resources and making monetary contributions.
The program begins this Saturday October 20 with the Cornhole Tournament at the Gin Mill benefiting Sidekicks Mentoring and ends at a public skate at the Extreme Ice Center to benefit North Carolina Special Olympics.

The Checkers continue a nine game road trip Friday October 19 when they face Milwaukee Admirals at 8pm(EST). The game is being broadcast live on The season’s first home game is Sunday November 4; face off 3pm against the Chicago Wolves.
