Wranglers clip Cndors in OT, 3-2

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – In a match that was full of back-and-forth goals between teams, the Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Bakersfield Condors 3-2 in overtime for the second home win in a row.
 
Wranglers forward Eric Lampe notched the first point of the game, scoring a short-handed goal with assists from defenseman Mike Madill and center Peter MacArthur at 17:12 in the first period. The Condors quickly responded with a goal of their own, and left wing Jesse Gimblett tied the game 1-1 during a power play at 18:33. Condors center Mathew Sisca and right wing Scott Freeman were given points for the assists.
 
The score went up 2-1 in favor of the Wranglers early in the second period. Center Adam Miller recorded a goal 3:55 into the period with assists from center Thomas Kiriakou and Madill. Condors defenseman Matt Campanale knotted the score 2-2 at the 10:09 mark with Freeman and Sisca each getting their second assists of the night.
 
After a scoreless third period, the Wranglers faced their first overtime situation at home this season. With Las Vegas on the power play and only 42 seconds left before a shoot-out, Lampe scored the game-winning goal, his second point of the night, and was named one of the Three Stars of the game. Wranglers goaltender Mitch O’Keefe also earned a Three Star mention tonight after securing 32 saves for the win.
