World Cup of Hockey: USA bests Canada, 4-2

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The World Cup of Hockey came to Columbus this week and Team USA found a way to get past Team Canada in an exciting, 4-2 win.

Joe Pavelski scored what would become the game-winner late in the middle frame.

Jonathan Quick and Ben Bishop shared the nets for USA and stopped 41 shots in total from Canada.  2016 World Cup of Hockey

Zach Parise, Derek Stepan and Patrick Kane also scored for USA.

Team Canada’s offense was led by Patrice Bergeron and Drew Doughty who each had a goal.

Carey Price was in the Canada nets and made 22 saves in the loss.

Nationwide Arena in Columbus was nearly a sellout with 17,991 in attendance.
