COLUMBUS, Ohio – The World Cup of Hockey came to Columbus this week and Team USA found a way to get past Team Canada in an exciting, 4-2 win.
Joe Pavelski scored what would become the game-winner late in the middle frame.
Jonathan Quick and Ben Bishop shared the nets for USA and stopped 41 shots in total from Canada. ![]()
Zach Parise, Derek Stepan and Patrick Kane also scored for USA.
Team Canada’s offense was led by Patrice Bergeron and Drew Doughty who each had a goal.
Carey Price was in the Canada nets and made 22 saves in the loss.
Nationwide Arena in Columbus was nearly a sellout with 17,991 in attendance.
