ROSEMONT, IL On Wednesday the Chicago Wolves brought the storm by unleashing a new 3rd jersey. The concept behind the new 3rd jersey is the new affiliation with the 
Wolves new NHL team the Carolina Hurricanes. The affiliation began in the 2020/2021 season and is set till the 2022/2023 season.
The new 3rd jersey is shared by both the Wolves and Hurricanes. The main logo in the front shows the Wolves head without the stick and puck. The main colors feature the Wolves new color storm grey.
The jersey also features a W logo with 4 Chicago Stars. It also resembles the Wolves 4 Championships over their time. 1998 Turner Cup, 2000 Turner Cup, 2002 Calder Cup and 2008 Calder Cup.
The jersey features the Wolves colors black, yellow/gold, and dark maroon. The style, 
layout and overall look is done by CCM.

What makes the Wolves different from other clubs in the AHL, is their branding style. The Wolves never use their affiliation logos on any of their jerseys. It makes them unique, stand out and not like other AHL teams.
However, they do take elements from the NHL affiliation and find someway to include it in their jersey style without showing who they are affiliated with. It makes for a interesting connection between both teams and leagues.
The Wolves have showcased quite a few 3rd jerseys over the past seasons. Many jerseys have a design that was similar to their NHL affiliate.
