In St Paul, Alex Stalock made 37 saves to guide the Minnesota Wild to a 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.
Kevin Fiala scored in his fifth straight game for the Wild.
“I don’t plan to play bad, you know?” Fiala said. “My plan is to keep going like this.”
Zach Parise and Luke Kunin also scored for the Wild.
“Fiala’s got up for every game as of late,” Wild head coach Dean Evason said. “I scored six goals a year, so I have no idea (how he does it). It’s incredible, it really is. His hands, his vision. He’s clearly feeling it.”
Craig Smith scored after the Wild the Wild had a 3-0 lead.
“We did have a push at the end, but the first period wasn’t good at all,” the Predators’ Roman Josi said. “They were a better team, got off quick. In the third we made a push but took too many penalties … and it’s hard to come back from a two-goal deficit.
“We didn’t win and we need points right now, so we got to be better.”

Juuse Saros made 30 saves in the loss.
“The way the race is going, this is going to be something that will go right down to the wire,” Predators head coach John Hynes said. “The way that we played the last two nights, they were not good enough to win. We need to take a day tomorrow, and we need to regroup and we got to dig.”
