Wild down Montreal, 4-1 Update to follow

In St Paul, Kirill Kaprizov hit for a pair of goals in the second period on Tuesday, once off the power play, and the Wild defeated the Montreal Canadiens, 4-1.

Marc-Andre Fleury made 34 saves in the Minnesota win.

The Wild improved to 5-4-1 with their second straight win.

Nick Suzuki was the lone striker for the Habs.

Montreal dropped to 5-5-0.

After a scoreless first period, Mason Shaw  staked Minnesota to a 1-0 lead in the middle frame.

Kaprizov hit off the power play for a 2-0 lead, and then again lin the 15th minute of the period for a 3-0 advantage to the Wild.

Matt Boldy popped in an empty-net goal with 3:08 left in the third period for the 4-1 final.

Jake Allen made 27 saves and keep his suit open for lack of offensive support for every team he tends net for.
