The Vancouver Canucks are a team in collapse. They have lost 12 of 13 after dropping a 3-2 decision to the Minnesota Wild on home ice.
The Wild scored all three of their goals on the power play.
Jason Zuckergot the game-winner in the middle frame.
“When you get a 5-on-3 opportunity, you want to make sure you are taking advantage of it and we did that,” Zucker said. “You want to make sure in any game you are winning the special teams battle. Our penalty kill did a really nice job on all their power plays (3-for-3) and we capitalized on all three of our power plays.”
Zucker’s came just 55 seconds after Ryan Suter had tied the game at 2-2.
Devan Dubnyk made 29 saves to get the win.
“Special teams were great and [Dubnyk] made some key saves at the right times,” Wild forward Eric Staal said. “Hopefully we can start a streak in the other direction.”
Josh Leivo and Tyler Motte scored for the Canucks.
“You can’t give up three on the PK,” Jay Beagle said. “We have to find a way, we have to be better, and I like to think that I’m a big part of that.”
Zach Parise also scored for the Wild who improved to 15-10-2.
The Canucks dropped to 11-16-3 and losing the promise of the fast start to the season.

Anders Nilsson made 25 saves in the loss.
“Our team hasn’t got the results, and it’s hard when you don’t win, but I’ll give our team credit, they’re going out and competing. They’re not letting themselves not show up. And that’s hard when you haven’t won in a while,” Canucks head coach Travis Green said.
