Wichita Bounces Back With 4-1 Win Over Tulsa

WICHITA, Kan. (Dec. 20) – Stuart Skinner made 37 saves, four different players found the net and the Thunder skated past Tulsa on Friday night, 4-1, at INTRUST Bank Arena.
Jason Salvaggio, Chris Crane, Stefan Fournier and Peter Crinella each found the net and Patrik Parkkonen had a pair of assists.
Wichita got off to a much better start tonight than they did on Tuesday, taking a 3-0 after the first 20 minutes. At 3:19, Salvaggio redirected a pass from Riley Weselowski and made it 1-0. Less than two minutes later, Fournier beat Devin Williams with assists to Parkkonen and Ostap Safin. Crane scored at 6:23 on the power play and increased it to 3-0.
Tulsa played a solid second period, hemming the Thunder in their own zone at times. Mike McKee wired a shot off the cross bar to cut the lead to 3-1 with a shorthanded marker at 18:02.
Peter Crinella tacked on a goal in the third period that gave the Thunder a 4-1 advantage.  Beau Starrett found Crinella in the left circle, he outraced Jake Clifford for the loose puck and beat Williams.
Crane recorded his 200th ECHL point in his 300th ECHL game. Fournier has three goals in his last two games. Parkkonen has points in his last five games (1g, 6a).
Wichita returns home tomorrow night to host the Utah Grizzlies at 7:05 p.m. Saturday night is a chance to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus and the guy who stole Christmas. Get your picture taken with them on the concourse.
