What history says for Saturday in EIHL Week 3

A dive into the history books ahead of Saturday night’s action in Week 3 tells us a few things about tonight’s match-ups. Let’s see what they are:

Guildford Flames have every reason to be confident against Glasgow Clan. The Flames have won 16 of the 18 league meetings between the teams since joining the EIHL, outscoring their opponents by almost two goals to one.

Sheffield Steelers have hosted Dundee Stars 36 times in league play, and have come out winners in all but six of those games.

There have been 25 league meetings between Cardiff Devils and Coventry Blaze in the EIHL’s Challenge Cup. The hosts hold a 17–8 win record, with three of those victories coming in overtime or a shootout.

A win for Belfast Giants in Fife earlier this season extended their Cup record in Kirkcaldy to 13 wins from 17 games against the Flyers.

In 12 Challenge Cup meetings between Nottingham Panthers and Manchester Storm, the Panthers hold a comfortable 9–3 win record.
