Welcome to EIHL 2026!

Happy New Year, and welcome to 2026!

As we move into January, there are just under four months to decide three trophies this season: the Elite League title, the Challenge Cup, and the Playoffs. Every point is becoming more important as teams look to position themselves for the run-in.

On New Year’s Day, we have three games on the schedule, all for league points!

League leaders Cardiff Devils welcome Guildford Flames to a sold-out Vindico Arena. Both meetings this season saw the Devils score seven goals on their way to two points.

In Manchester, it’s part two of the Storm and Sheffield Steelers’ Winter Classic. Storm upset the odds to take a well-earned win in Sheffield two nights ago as they look to complete a New Year sweep of their rivals from across the Pennines.

Rounding off the day, we’re in Coventry as the Blaze welcome Nottingham Panthers to the Skydome, 24 hours after the Blaze came from three down to win in Nottingham and prevent the Panthers going top.
