Toledo, OH – Forward Kyle Bonis has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2017-18 season
Over the past three years with the Walleye, Bonis has scored 56 goals and 39 assists over 106 games played. Despite playing in only nine games last year for the Walleye,
the Lindsay, Ontario native picked up 11 points (6G, 5A) including being named ECHL Player of the Week with 5 points (3G, 2A) in the first week of the season. After that, he returned to the AHL appearing in 52 games for the Rochester Americans with 10 goals and 2 assists.

“Kyle is a consistent performer as we have seen in each of the previous three seasons,” Head Coach Dan Watson said. “His work effort is second to none which allows him to continue to improve each and every year.”
Appearing in 17 playoff contests this past season, Bonis continued his point per game performance with 18 (10G, 8A). His 18 points were tied for the team lead during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. In total, the 28-year-old has scored 81 goals with 59 assists for 140 points in 171 contests at the ECHL level. He has also skated in 96 career AHL games with 15 goals and 9 assists.
In four years at Ferris State (2009-2013), Bonis picked up 47 goals and 30 assists over 136 total games played. As a senior in 2012-13, he scored 19 goals, was Second Team for the Senior CLASS Award and was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. He helped the Bulldogs win a CCHA regular season championship in the 2011-12 season with a college high 31 points (19G, 12A).
