Walleye cool Komets in goaltending duel

(Toledo, OH) – The Walleye defeated the Komets 3-1 on Friday night in Toledo. Pat Nagle stopped 24 of 25 shots to improve to 17-3-2 on the season. The Walleye are 22-10-2-1 on the season and 13-4-0 at home.

Connor Crisp gave the Walleye a 1-0 lead at 16:46 of the first period.

Shane Berschbach gave the Walleye a 2-0 lead with a power play goal at 7:59 of the third period. Luke Esposito scored an empty net goal to make it a 3-0 Walleye lead at 16:25 of the third. The Komets scored to make it a 3-1 game at 18:46 of the third.

Fish Tales:

The Walleye are home Saturday night for a 7:15 p.m. puck drop against the Mavericks and Sunday for a 5:15 p.m. puck drop against the Cyclones.
