TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo Walleye defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones 2-1 in front of a sold-out crowd on Sunday evening in Toledo. Pat Nagle stopped 25 of 26 shots to improve to 18-3-2 on the season. The Walleye are 24-10-2-1 on the season and 15-4-0 at home.
Kyle Bonis scored 2:05 into the first period to give the Walleye a 1-0 lead. The Cyclones tied the game 1-1 at 7:09 of the first on a goal by Shawn O’Donnell..
Davis Vandane gave the Walleye a 2-1 lead at 4:56 of the third period.
Fish Tales: The Walleye head to Kansas City for a weekend series against the Mavericks with an 8:05 p.m. puck drop on Friday and Saturday and a 5:05 p.m. puck drop on Sunday.
