Vasilevskiy, Lightning shut out Flyers, 7-0 Hedman hits for double - Update to follow

In Tampa, this one got ugly fast. The Lightning scored four times in the opening stanza on Saturday, and they routed the visiting Philadelphia Flyers, 7-0Flyers coach John Tortorella was ejected from the game.

Darren Raddysh assisted on five of the Tampa goals.

Nicholas Paul hit off the power play at 5:55 for a 2-0 lead, scoring off a scrum at the front of the ent.

Conor Sheary struck just ahead of the midway point of the first for a 3-0 lead.

Brayden Point ballooned the first period advantage to 4-0 with a power play strike just past the midpoint of the first.

The Flyers dropped to 33-24-8, ending a three -game point streak.

In the middle frame, Tampa padded the lead.

Newly arrived Anthony Duclair stretched the lad to 5-0 at 15:42, scoring off a tap in on the left side of the bet.

Hedman collected his double at 7:33 of the third for a 6-0 score.

Brandon Hagel finished off the offense with a power play strike at 8:16 for the extra point in the 7-0 final count on the scoreboard.

Samuel Ersson got the start for the Flyers, he surrendered all four first period goals to the Lightning, making 11 saves. He got the hook after the fourth goal.

Felix Sandstrom made eight saves in a mop up role.
