PHILADELPHIA – Thatcher Demko made 31 saves for the Vancouver Canucks on Friday as they defeated the Flyers, 5-4 on skills.

Philadelphia Flyers Sean Couturier #14 and Claude Giroux #28 battle Vancouver Canucks Juho Lammikko #91 and Kyle Burroughs #44 in front of Vancouver Goalie Thatcher Demko #35
Travis Konecny and Claude Giroux scored in the final minutes of regulation to rally the Flyers from a 2-4 deficit and force extra time.
JT Miller scored in regulation and added two assists for the Canucks and also was credited wit the deciding goal in the skills portion of the evening’s affairs.
Joel Farabee and Cam Atkinson also scored for the Flyers.
After Farabee gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead, Vasily Podkolzin tied the game in the second period.
Elias Pettersson and Alex Chiasson put the Canucks up 3-1 in the four-goal middle frame.
Carter Hart made 35 saves in the loss.
