Today’s EIHL matchups back in time

28 November has seen 22 games played across the Elite League’s history since 2003. Home teams have won only seven of those fixtures, with two ties and a remarkable 14 victories for road teams. Belfast put eight past Dundee on this date in 2018, while a Cardiff–Belfast meeting in 2004 is the only game on this day ever decided in overtime.

Cardiff’s home league record against Guildford is exceptionally strong. The Devils have won 16 of the 20 meetings, losing only four, and average close to four goals per game.

Nottingham and Glasgow have met 36 times in league play at the Motorpoint Arena. The Panthers have 22 wins in that span, with 15 for the Clan. Eleven of those games have gone beyond 60 minutes.

Dundee’s home record against Belfast is a tough one. The Stars have won 10 of the 37 league meetings at the DIA, with the Giants coming out on top in the other 27.

Manchester have already beaten Fife twice this season, adding to their strong home league record against the Flyers. Storm have won 20 of the 30 league meetings between the teams in Altrincham.
