Telford Tigers suffered a late heartbreak for the second game in a row when they lost 4-3 at Milton Keynes Lightning on Saturday night.
Their hosts scored the winning goal with just four seconds of overtime remaining – mirroring last week’s penalty shots defeat to Peterborough.
A dramatic encounter saw Telford open the scoring on 21 minutes, thanks to Michal Satek, before the Lightning replied at the halfway point of the game.
The Tigers fell behind to a Milton Keynes goal ahead of the end of the second period, although Macaulay Heywood equalised on 43 minutes.
The Lightning again took the lead soon after, before Satek’s second goal of the night with four minutes remaining.
And with overtime having almost run it’s course, the home side snatched that late winner just before the buzzer.
Telford Tigers are back in action on Sunday night (tonight), when they host Swindon Wildcats (6pm).
