Thunderbolts Tally 41 shots on goal in loss to Quad City

EVANSVILLE, IN – In a game where the Thunderbolts couldn’t get even a single bounce to go their way, the Thunderbolts would pepper the Quad City net with 41 shots on goaltender Eric Levine, and an additional 3 on the iron posts of the net that Levine was guarding.

Despite all that, the Thunderbolts couldn’t beat Levine, and Quad City would
win 4-0.

The Storm would get goals from Tommy Tsicos at 1:21 of the first period, and Dalton Mills from PhilBronner and Cody Walsh with 34 seconds left in the period. Late in the second period, Vladimir Nikiforov would extend that lead to 3-0 with only 17 seconds left in the period, again from Bronner.

Finally Quad City rounded out the scoring with a goal from Hunter Stewart 1:57 into the third period, from Taylor McCloy. All four goals were scored on the power play. Ed Minney would stand tall with 20 saves in net.
