It’s not often that a Saturday night in the Elite League is as quiet as this one, with just three games on the schedule in Week 9 of the 2025/26 season – marking the point where we’re already 30% of the way through the regular campaign.

The biggest game of the night comes in Dundee, where the Stars host Glasgow Clan in a crucial Challenge Cup clash. The stakes couldn’t be higher: the loser will be eliminated from the competition if the defeat comes in regulation. Should the game go to overtime, the final standings will hinge on Dundee’s trip to Belfast on Sunday. A regulation win for either team will secure at least a place in the Elimination Game, and could still keep hopes alive of winning the group outright to go straight into the Semi-Finals.
In league play, Fife Flyers welcome the Nottingham Panthers to Kirkcaldy, buoyed by taking their first league point of the season in an overtime defeat to Sheffield last weekend, a game where they arguably deserved even more for their effort.
Meanwhile, Manchester Storm return to the Shelter to host Coventry Blaze after their trip to Nottingham on Friday night. The Blaze head into the weekend on a high after a midweek home win over Guildford that lifted them into seventh place in the standings.
