“[Coach Rick Tocchet] said after the second that you’ve got to believe you can win this hockey game, and we did,” Dvorak said. “We came out flying there in the third, and I think that was one of our better periods.”

Antti Raanta made 27 saves in another win for him.

Max Jones  and Jakob Silfverberg were the Ducks strikers for the 2-1 lead heading to the third period.

“We can’t get satisfied with the position we put ourselves in, rather than being the attacking team,” Silfverbeg sai. “In this league, any time you kind of sit back, you’re going to end up picking the puck out of your net. It doesn’t really work.”

Dvorak tied the game at 2-2 with jut 26 seconds gone on clean ice in the third.

“You know to start a period like that, the lack of urgency, turning the puck over is one that we’ll look at and learn a very hard lesson from,” Ducks head coach Dallas Eakins said.

Lawson Crouse opened the scoring in the game to give the Coyotes a 1-0 lead in the opening frame.

John Gibson made 30 saves in the loss.

“It’s the stuff that’s talked about every night, we’ve got to play all 60 minutes,” Silfverberg said. “You can’t be happy with having spurts here and there. It’s definitely something we’re addressing every day, even during games: We’ve got to push for the next goal and you can’t sit back.”
