The Ice Wolves Den Brady Borgestad in the #PHNSpotlight

ALBUQUERQUE – Hello Ice Wolves fans and welcome to the latest edition of the Ice Wolves Den. This week we feature Brady Borgestad.

Brady originally joined the Ice Wolves for the 2023-24 season, last season he played closer to home for the Minnesota Mallards, but returned to Albuquerque for this season. He explained it was a relatively easy decision, “The organization here is unbelievable, the staff, coaches, my billet family, they’re all amazing. It was definitely fun being closer to home last season, we had a great group of guys and was good for my development. I give all the credit to the Minnesota Mallards, it was definitely a good time, but I’m very happy to be where I am right now.” Borgestad continued, “Coach McKenzie made it a no-brainer, I’ve known Kyle since my rookie year and he was a big reason to get me back down here. He’s a great guy and a great coach. I’m thankful and thrilled to be back.”
Brady says the fan support in Albuquerque is top notch, “The fans here are unbelievable, they show up every night and cheer loud and proud, you can’t beat that. They’re absolutely awesome, I can’t thank them enough. They make us come out every night and play hard.”
The NAHL Ice Wolves split a pair against the Oklahoma Warriors last weekend, winning Friday 6-3 but falling 6-5 Saturday in a shootout. Forward Andy Earl continued his hot start, picking up 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 total points and earning South Division Second Star of the week.
