Saturday night brings another slate of Challenge Cup action across the Elite League, and the head-to-head records add extra intrigue to each fixture.

At the SSE Arena, Belfast Giants have dominated past Cup meetings with Fife Flyers, winning 13 of the 16 encounters. In those games the Giants have averaged five goals per outing while conceding just 2.3.
Dundee Stars travel to Glasgow Clan boasting an excellent Challenge Cup record at Braehead Arena. The Stars have taken 11 wins from the 14 Cup clashes between the sides in Glasgow.
Over in Surrey, Guildford Flames will be confident on home ice against the Coventry Blaze. Guildford have never lost a Cup game at the Spectrum to the Blaze, and across 12 meetings they have outscored Coventry by an average of 4.5 goals to 2.0.
Finally, one of the league’s biggest rivalries is renewed as the Nottingham Panthers host the Sheffield Steelers at the Motorpoint Arena. In 29 previous Cup meetings in Nottingham the record is perfectly balanced: 13 wins each, with three games ending in a draw.
