FRISCO, Texas – The Texas Tornado (31-16-7), who are coming off a 2-0 shutout win against the Amarillo Bulls, are getting ready for a back-to-back series with last place New Mexico Mustangs (18-33-3), who are coming off a 7-5 loss against the Corpus Christi Ice Rays.
The Tornado, who have clinched a spot in the playoffs, are trying to catch up with second place Topeka Road Runners. Topeka sits 2 points ahead of Texas. The Tornado have already clinched a playoff spot while the Ice Rays are going to miss the playoffs this season.

The back-to-back series takes place on Friday March 16 and Saturday March 17, with both games starting at 7:30 pm in the Dr. Pepper Stars Center in Frisco, Texas
Injuries: For the Tornado, both Justin Greenberg (upper body injury) and Jordan Greenberg (Leg injury) are probable for the game. It Looks as if the Mustangs are dealing with no injuries for the encounter.
For the Tornado to win against the Mustangs they need to contain their top scorers, Adam Chapie and Evan Johnson.
Chapie has 29 goals and 26 assists for 55 points while Jack Prince is 3rd scoring with 37 goals and 35 assits for 72 points.
The Tornado have been solid on home ice with a record of 17-5-4 and they will be playing a determined team in the Mustangs who are 7-18-1 on the road. Look out for a close, fast paced game against the Tornado and Mustangs.
