Terry’s trick leads Ducks over Flyers

In Anaheim, Troy Terry scored a hat trick and the Ducks downed the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-1, on Tuesday night.

It was Terry’s first career NHL hat trick.

“I just didn’t feel like I was skating like myself, attacking defensemen and doing that type of stuff,” Terry said. “I needed to get back to it.”

John Gibson made 28 saves in the Anaheim win.

Cam Atkinson was the lone Flyers striker.

“When you’re looking at the results, that’s not good,” Flyers coach Mike Yeo said. “Unfortunately, we’re in a position where you’re chasing everybody.”

Philadelphia was 1-2-1 on their roadie and dropped to 13-14-6.

“It’s really difficult to sit here and say, ‘Oh, we did this well or we did that well.'” Yeo said. “The bottom line is we need to grind some points out. We’ve got to stay with the pack.”

Sonny Milano also scored for Anaheim.

The Ducks improved to 18-11-7.

Carter Hart made 26 saves in the Flyers loss.
