The Tigers’ striking options will come under scrutiny this weekend, when they face Peterborough Phantoms and Swindon Wildcats.
Both sides rely heavily on their defence and netminding, with Swindon in particular having shut down Telford’s forwards twice this season already.
Saturday’s trip to Peterborough sees The Tigers face a side that could still overhaul them at the top of the English Premier League standings.
And on Sunday, the visit of Swindon will be a chance for the county men to follow up on their first win of the season in Wiltshire earlier this month.
Tigers Head Coach Tom Watkins has spent the week priming his high-scoring forwards to take on two of the league’s toughest defences.
He said: “Both sides have got big goalies who can win games for them. We have got to make sure we finish our chances and break them down.
“Peterborough is a tough rink to play in, so that will be a difficult game.
“They had a good result against Swindon last week, even with a couple of players out. That will have galvanised the whole team.”
Sunday’s clash with Swindon is, perhaps, the toughest of the weekend’s games, with that 13-point lead over the chasing pack still at stake.
Watkins remains, however, determined to treat Sunday’s encounter as separate from those previous meetings with the Wildcats.
He said: “It is just another two points and every game is different. “That win a few weeks ago got us back on track and started this winning streak.
“We have been playing well recently, so we want to keep that run going. At this stage of the season, every point is important.”
Sunday’s game against Swindon Wildcats, at Telford Ice Rink, faces off 5.30pm.
