Tampa down Ducks, 3-2, in OT Ducks force OT with late goal but lose in first minute of extra session - Update to follow

In Anaheim, the Ducks’ Pavel Mintyukov scored at 2:36 of the third period to tie the Tampa Bay Lighting, 2-2, and force an extra session, on Sunday night.

Tampa replied with a goal from Anthony Cirelli with 59 seconds gone in extra time for a 3-2 win, he scored off a breakaway for the game winner.

Jonas Johansson made 30 saves in the win.

Tampa improved to 39-25-7, the Lightning had lost to the Los Angeles Kings, 4-3, in extra time on Saturday night.

Ross Johnston staked the Ducks to a 1-0 lead at 13:49 of the opening stanza, it was his first NHL goal in in two years.

Anthony Duclair responded for the Lightning at 7:50 of the middle frame to tie the game, 1-1.

The Ducks dropped to 24-43-4 off their seventh loss in eight matches.

Luke Glendening then put the Lightning in the lead, 2-1, at 17:00 of the second, scoring off a turnover he created.

Lukas Dostal made 25 saves in the loss.
