PHN’s Best Shots Of The Game: Clan rout Sheffield, 6-1
Status
SHEFFIELD –  Guillaume Doucet’s hat-trick for Glasgow Clan helped Pete Russell’s men rack up another impressive victory on the road at Sheffield Steelers in a 6-1 triumph.
After a 6-0 drubbing last month – Steelers’ worst home league defeat in the EIHL – Clan were close to at least equalling that as they put Tom Barrasso’s men to the sword in style.

Doucet got Glasgow off the mark when Brendan Connolly robbed John Armstrong of possession behind the goal, setting up the #52 in the centre and he despatched his shot to draw first blood in this contest.
The same two men combined for the second on a breakaway, with Doucet turning provider for Connolly to fire home, doubling the lead by the end of the first period.
Clan really got to business in the second to put themselves out of sight as the Steelers become more and more disjointed.
Gerard Hanson’s cutback found Travis Ehrhardt, who lashed in from the left side circle as Jackson Whistle could do nothing to stop it in the Steelers net.

Then a face off in the Steelers zone was won by Scott Tanski, who nudged left to Rasmus Bjerrum and the Dane rifled into the roof of the net to add a fourth.
Doucet’s second and Clan’s fifth came a couple of minutes before the end of the second when Connolly found him at the back post.
Then he completed his treble with a superb backhanded finish and, like the game in the Fly DSA Arena last month, Glasgow were six up without reply.
Steelers’ only response was a well-taken finish by their captain, Jonathan Phillips in the third to prevent another whitewash, but it was all they could muster as Glasgow secured another two points to make it five wins out of six against Sheffield this season.
