On Monday, Taylor Beck was signed to a one-year deal by the Toronto Maple Leafs. The signing followed a trade with the Nashville Predators. Beck was drafted in the 2009 Entry Draft and skated in 62 games for the Preds in the regular season with eight goals 
and 16 points on the season.
Philip Varone (Buffalo) and Anthony Bitetto (Nashville) signed one-year two-way contracts with their clubs.
The Detroit Red Wings signed Mitch Callahan to a one-year contract and defenseman Nick Jensen on a two-year contract.
