In the NHL free agency, Chris Stewart was signed by the Anaheim Ducks to a one-year deal. No terms were released. Stewart skated with the Minnesota last season after being traded to the Wild from the Buffalo Sabres.
In other moves, 32-year old John Scott will now skate in Arizona with the Coyotes after signing his own one-year deal.
The Ducks made an earlier move in the last past few days by signing Brian McGrattan. The 33-year old last skated for the Edmonton Oilers and over 317 NHL games has accumulated 609 PIMs. With Stewart and McGrattan in the lineup, the Ducks will be considerably meaner this coming season.
