Wednesday was notable for teams signing two0way contracts. The Washington Capitals signed forward Paul Carey to a one-year, two-way contract. Carey has skated in 22 NHL games over his career. He was drafted in 2007 by the Colorado Avalanche.
In March, he was traded from the Avs to the Boston Bruins.
The Detroit Red Wings signed former Montreal Canadiens’ left winger Eric Tangradi to a one-year deal as well.
Tangradi spent most of last season with the American Hockey League’s Hamilton Bulldogs.
The Tampa Bay Lightning signed forward Philippe Paradis to a one-year deal.
Paradis had his best season with the Syracuse Crunch in the 2014-15 campaign despite missing the final three months of the season with an injury.
The St Louis Blues signed Magnus Paajarv to a one-year, two-way contract. He has played in 65 games for the Blues in the last two seasons.
