Sundqvist signs 1-year, $775,000 contract with Blues

Oskar Sundqvist signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old forward was an unrestricted free agent. He had 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 67 games for the Minnesota Wild and Detroit Red Wings last season, including seven points (three goals, four assists) in 15 games after he was acquired in a trade with the Red Wings on March 3. He scored one goal in one Stanley Cup Playoff game.

Selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round (No. 81) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Sundqvist has 123 points (50 goals, 73 assists) in 355 regular-season games for the Wild, Red Wings, Blues and Penguins and 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 37 playoff games. He won the Stanley Cup with St. Louis in 2019.
