Sunday’s EIHL history lesson ahead of full schedule of games

Across a full Sunday of EIHL games today, what can previous seasons tell us ahead of this afternoon’s fixtures?

Sheffield Steelers boast a 75% record against Glasgow Clan in league play at the Utilita Arena, winning 24 of 36 meetings.

In 28 league meetings between Manchester Storm and Fife Flyers in Altrincham, the Storm have the results in their favour with a 15-3-3-7 record.

Dundee’s win over Belfast earlier this season improved their total to 11 home Challenge Cup victories over the Giants – although the visitors have come out on top 27 times themselves.

In Cardiff, the Devils narrowly edge the Cup series against Nottingham Panthers with seven wins compared to the Panthers’ six. Two games have also ended in ties.

Coventry Blaze have never beaten Guildford Flames at home in the Cup if the game has gone beyond 60 minutes. The Blaze have six wins to their name, while the Flames have three regulation victories and three more that came in overtime or a shootout.
