Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan suffered a tough home loss at the hands of Manchester Storm in a 5-2 home defeat.
The physicality of the fixture started even before the game did as Charlie Combs and Dallas Ehrhardt exchanged some words and shoves at centre ice before the opening puck drop.
Manchester had the first big chance in the game as Samuel Tremblay fired a shot on net which slid under Antti Karjalainen’s blocker pad and had to be cleared to safety by Bryce Reddick on the line.
At the other end, Matt Barry had a chance to put the hosts in front when he was left unmanned at the backdoor but his shot went straight into Evan Weninger’s logo.
The Clan had the puck in the net shortly after though as Luke Lynch snapped a first-time shot past Weninger on a five-on-three powerplay.

The Storm weren’t trailing for long though as Callum Fryer levelled the scoring when he dangled his way through the Clan zone before scooping the puck around Karjalainen.
Stephen Johnson then put the visitors in front near the end of the first period when he tipped Joe Morrow’s shot through the five-hole of Karjalainen.
Chase Harrison put the Storm on the front foot to start the second period as he rifled a shot from the blue line that took a few deflections on its way to the net before bouncing out off of the pipe.
Gary Haden eventually bagged a second goal for Glasgow as he launched the puck from the top of the right dot and it sailed into the net and was awarded after a lengthy review by the officials.

Shortly after Haden’s equalising goal, the officials once again were sent to review for a possible Clan goal, but it didn’t stand this time around as the puck didn’t cross the line.
Storm captain Cam Critchlow had a few choice words for the officials at the end of the period which resulted in him being awarded a 10-minute misconduct at the start of the third.
The Storm weren’t fazed by their captain having to sit for half of the final period though as they scored a go-ahead goal just 47 seconds into the third through Austin Farley.
This gave the visitors they needed as they went to secure the points, with Chase Harrison blasting one into the net with ten minutes to play.
Then Critchlow, back from his penalty, finished a backhanded effort to open a three-goal lead that got the travelling Manchester fans celebrating victory.
