Stingrays re-sign Klimek

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey Leageu’s Washington Capitals and American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears, have announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Jordan Klimek for the 2025-26 season.Action photo of Jordan Klimek of the South Carolina Stingrays

Klimek begins his fourth year in South Carolina. Last season, he recorded eight points (3g-5a) in 40 games while posting a +19, which was fifth best amongst all Stingrays’ defensemen.

Klimek returned to the Stingrays last year after playing overseas for three years. Klimek played for DEAC in the Erste Liga in Hungary before spending two seasons (2022-24) with the Guildford Flames of the Elite Ice Hockey League.

The 29-year-old first came to the Stingrays in 2019 following his first professional season with the Kansas City Mavericks and spent two years with South Carolina. In his Stingrays career, the Langley, British Columbia native has logged 26 points (12g-14a) in 110 games.
