Two Stefan Meyer goals (38.46 & 41.09) were followed by Galbraith’s second of the night at 42.06.

Keith (42.38 powerplay), Scott Pitt (48.47 powerplay) and Ben Davies (52.22) added further goals for Clan and Jordan Knox (58.05) notched a fourth for Stingrays.

Player-coach Omar Pacha said: “Playing short for the last few weeks finally caught up on us. But I cannot fault the guys, they kept going.

“We made a lot of mental mistakes but the guys are that tired. We also lost Cory Tanaka to a facial injury and he probably won’t play in Coventry [on Sunday night].

“We will make a few adjustments for the Coventry game but after that we will get some much-needed rest and hopefully we might have a couple of guys back for the play-offs.”
