Steelheads down Grizzlies 3-1

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Utah Grizzlies (3-2-1-0)  3-1 during a Saturday matinee at Maverik Center after Utah won 4-1 Friday in Boise.

The Grizzlies wore zombie Halloween costumes in the game presented by Coors that were auctioned off live after the game for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. $15,225 was raised in the auction.

“We had good chances. We’ve got a lot of skill and a lot of guys that can put the puck in the net,” said Head Coach/General Manager.  “It was just one of those nights where the puck wasn’t going. Their goaltender played well but obviously if we get traffic in front and you’re tenacious. We didn’t do that tonight – you can’t win them all – but a lot of good things out there.”

The two teams will meet for the third time in four days Monday at Maverik Center at 7 p.m.
