Steelhawks edge Real McCoys 5-4

DUNDAS—Justin DiBenedetto with two goals and an assist led the charge as the Hamilton Steelhawks overcame the Dundas Real McCoys four-goal outburst in the second period to edge the McCoys 5-4 in the lone Allan Cup Hockey game tonight in the Harry Howell Arena.

Tomorrow night (Saturday, February 2nd) the Stoney Creek Generals travel to Whitby to play the Dunlops at 6:30 p.m. in the Iroquois Sports Complex.  Next Friday, the Generals take on the McCoys in the Howell Arena at 7:30 p.m. while the Dunlops play the Steelhawks in the Dave Andreychuk Arena also at 7:30 p.m.

For Dundas, Jake Goldberg and Shane Terry had a goal and an assist each, while Cam Watson and Charlie Stephens added single goals.  Brad Bonello assisted on two of the McCoys goals.

Hamilton got a goal and an assist from Tyler Woodside with Mike Ruberto and Andre Deveaux scoring once each.
