The Steelers moved to the top of the Elite League following a 6-0 shut out win against Fife Flyers.
This followed the 5-2 road win in Cardiff on Saturday with Steelers now tied on 15 points from 9 games with Guildford, but with the better goal difference.
Steelers had an early chance on the power-play after 7 minutes when Cameron was off for holding
Whilst Sheffield didn’t convert then, they did shortly after on a delayed penalty. Chris Lawrence was called for slashing but on the play McNally set up Raska who converted from close range.
Former Steeler Lucas Sandstorm, making his first return to the arena since our Challenge Cup win, was sent to the box for boarding at 12.54. Steelers didn’t convert on the power-play but did extend their lead by the period break when Danny Kristo scored his first goal in orange at 18.40 to double the advantage.
It was a scoreless middle period with Kevin Schulze taking two minor penalties, despite one of those being mistaken identity as Tomáš Pitule got away with one.
Steelers would run away with the game in the final period as the four lines went to work with a 4-0 final session.
Brandon Whistle set the team on their way with the 3rd goal at 47.13 (assisted Kevin Schulze),
Daniel Ciampini scored short handed, unassisted at 48.33 with Brendan Connolly off for hooking (4-0)
With Piche off for cross checking Ciampini was at it again almost scoring his second short handed goal, the puck fell to Scott Allen who converted for 5-0 at 51.35
Game, set and match and 6-0 as the scoring was concluded at 56.02 when man of the match Brandon McNally scored with Robert Dowd assisting.
Steelers are back in action again on Wednesday evening (7.30pm) – all tickets £8 including fees – when Dundee Stars come into town.
