Steelers too good for Clan

Steelers dominated the Glasgow Clan on Saturday night with period scores of 0-1 / 1-3 and 0-3 for a 7-1 final scoreline.

Aaron Fox left out Brendan Connolly and Adam Raska for the game and went with the same team that had beaten Cardiff convincingly in the Cup on Wednesday.

It was game 1,000 in Orange for Steelers captain and his team didn’t let him him down on his special night.

Steelers scored the only goal of the opening period and perhaps went into the break disappointed to only be Robert Dowd’s strike ahead, his effort assisted by Scott Allen and Martin Latal.

Against the run of play the Clan equalised 7 minutes into the second period when Steven McParland netted on the power-play (1-1)
