A superb team performance in Coventry as the Steelers dominated the play at the Sky Dome coming out well deserved winners.
1-0 up after 20 minutes and 3-1 ahead through two periods, the Steelers then stepped on the gas in the final period scoring another 2 for a 5-1 victory.
Sam Tremblay led the way with 2 goals with Eamon McAdam making some outstanding saves to secure victory.
First Period.
01.58 – Early power-play for the Steelers with Colton Saucerman off for holding (Balmas)
Juusola and Heard with chances but the Blaze kill and return to full strength
Blaze pressured and forced some excellent stops from McAdam, Tansey also blocking shots and clearing the net in front of him

Diff is outstanding on the kill, excellent stick and the Steelers defend well with Joona returning
17.19 – More PP time for the Steelers as Gleason heads to the box for slashing
17.26 – Steelers GOAL as Head and Cormier combine for Juusola to convert (0-1)

Second Period
20.16 Steelers double their lead
Dominic Cormier walks in down the left wing and fires past Robson in the first shift after the re-start (0-2)
24.45 Steelers in control as Heard strikes for a 3rd
Mitchell Heard down the right wing, he cuts inside and then drives the net beating Robson from close range (0-3)
Balmas and Juusola go close in a great shift alongside Mitchell Heard
25.59 Saucerman to the box for tripping and more PP time for the Steelers
Blaze kill and then throw everything they have at the Steelers, McAdam outstanding making the big saves
Tremblay so close to making it 4-0 but Robson denies from close range
18.34 Dowd to the box for tripping … PP Time for the Blaze
With McAdam down and unsighted Vertanen throws one on net that goes over the shoulder of the Steelers keeper

Third Period
Early Blaze pressure as they try and build on the late second period goal, McAdam called into action and answers every question asked.
46.02 Gentile with 2 for slashing, the kill was outstanding and back to full strength before we knew it.
48.44 and Ryan Tait chips the puck over the glass and is called for delay of game
50.21 – this time the Steelers go one better scoring short handed as Juusola assisted as he provided the puck out in front to Sam Tremblay (1-4)
58.26 and Mitchell Heard gets 2 for cross checking and isn’t happy, he also gets 2 for abuse of an official
Coventry pulls the goalie for the 6 on 4 but Sam Tremblay hammers the puck the length of the ice into an empty net at 58.26
