The Steelers continued their recent winning run with a dominant performance and a 3-1 victory against the Manchester Storm.
Robert Dowd, Guillaume Desbiens and Mathieu Roy all found the net for the Steelers
with Darian Dziuryznski scoring a late power-play goal for the Storm.
The two teams meet again on Sunday in Manchester.
Steelers took the game to the Storm in the first period though it took until the 14th minute for Robert Dowd to break the deadlock (assisted Nelson and Valdix)
Sheffield quickly doubled their advantage when Desbiens deflected Ben O’Connor’s shot 50 seconds later (2-0)
Into the middle period and the King of Sheffield was on the scoreboard, Mathieu Roy tipping home Ben O’Connors shot for a 3-0 scoreline.
It looked that Ervins Mustukovs was about to record his third straight shut out but with Colton Fretter sitting out a slashing minor the Storm converted on the power-play at 58.19
Steelers man of the match was forward Robert Dowd who entertained the crowd with an excellent “Eddy”
