The Silver Knights lost to the Texas Stars, 6-5 in overtime, at HEB Center in Cedar Park, TX on Friday evening.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Jeremy Davies got the scoring going early, just 27-seconds into the first period, with a goal from Lukas Cormier and Jakub Brabenec.
Soon after, in the span of 90-seconds, both Jackson Hallum and Matyas Sapovaliv would find the back of the net to make it 3-0 Henderson.
Kyle McDonald would stop the bleeding, scoring the Stars first goal and chipping into the Silver Knights lead, 3-1. Nine-seconds into the second period,
Texas’ Matthew Seminoff brought the Henderson lead down to 3-2. Six-minutes later, Luke Krys would tie the game at 3-3. Five-minutes into the final frame, a Lukas Cormier shot would roll over the goal line to regain the lead for the Silver Knights.
Near the halfway mark of the period, McDonald would bring the game back to even at 4-4. Kai Uchacz would then give the Silver Knights a 5-4 lead with 90-seconds left on the clock.
With the Texas goalie on the bench, Kole Lind would tie the game once again and send the contest to overtime. Following a too many men penalty on the Silver Knights, Artem Shlaine scored the game winner for the Stars, giving them a 6-5 victory.
